Stats NZ QES Report

Overview

The Stats NZ QES Report helps businesses meet legal reporting requirements for the Quarterly Employment Survey (QES) under the Statistics Act 1975.

Using the Stats NZ QES Report

  1. Navigate to Reports -> Payroll -> Stats NZ QES Report.

  1. Filter by the specific "As at date" provided by Stats NZ (e.g., 20 February for the March quarter).

  1. The report will automatically calculate employee numbers (Full-time vs Part-time based on the 30-hour threshold), gross pay, and ordinary/overtime hours.

Note: Independent contractors are automatically excluded from these calculations to comply with survey requirements.
