Overview
A reimbursement request (sometimes called an expense claim) can be made by an end user for "out of pocket" work related expenses. Reimbursement requests record the:
- Nature of the expense
- The amount being claimed
- Supporting documentation (e.g. receipt)
⚠️ NOTE: Sometimes Depending on your company policy, you may be required to ALWAYS provide supporting documentation (e.g. a copy of a receipt) for any reimbursement requests. If you are unsure whether you need to provide supporting documentation, please raise this with your payroll contact; who will aim to assist you.
Depending on the nature of the expense incurred, the reimbursement may be PAYE tax exempt. More information on this see the IRD website on Reimbursements.
If you have an questions relating to reimbursement requests; please raise this with your payroll contact; who will aim to assist you.
