◾ Overview
The Leave Liability Report attempts to estimate the monetary value of a users leave balance/s, as at a certain date or pay period ending.
◾ Using the Leave Liability Report
1. You can access the leave liability report, by opening reports in Tempus then locating the "Leave Liability" report.
2. With the leave liability report open, you can set various filters for the report. We broadly recommend reviewing the report data on a per user/employee basis. Once you have your desired filters set you can run the report.
3. To see the breakdown of a users respective leave balance/s, be sure to "expand" the report to see all the data.
4. From there Tempus will attempt to:
- convert the unit of leave (e.g. 4.20 weeks of annual holidays) into an estimate of the average of hours as set in a users working pattern (e.g. Monday - Friday 8.00 hours a day = 40.00 hours total [4.2x40=168.00 hours]).
- Attempt to determine the monetary value of the leave, as as the date the report is run, based on the historic gross earnings available in Tempus (e.g. calculate an effective leave payment [RDP/ADP] and attempt to provide an estimate monetary value).
Depending on when the user's annual holidays entitlement last arose, you may see a line item "Holiday Pay 8%". This is there to factor annual holidays that are (technically) accruing since the last entitlement arose, but are not available as entitlement to these balances has not arisen (yet).
5. If needed, you can export the report data as required.
6. Additionally - you can export the workbook per user, which provides a more detailed breakdown with respects to the individual calculations (e.g. the workbook demonstrates the historical earnings being factored in the calculations).
